Hospital da Luz Clínica da Covilhã opened to the public today. The new clinic with Hospital da Luz brand, in Luz Saúde Group, is located on Alameda Europa and offers in one place professional experience, convenient scheduling and cutting-edge technology , thus seeking to respond to the health needs of the population and establishing itself as an ambulatory centre (without inpatient and operating services) of reference in the region of Beira Interior. This way, Luz Saúde continues to extend its network of hospitals and clinics, offering proximity healthcare, but always integrated in Hospital da Luz Network, so as to answer adequately and promptly to each clinical situation, independently of its complexity. This clinic in Covilhã involved an investment of over five million euros (acquisition of the building, works and equipment), fostering the creation of new employment in the region. The Clinic operates in an integrated manner with Hospital da Luz Coimbra – from where the majority of its clinical staff actually comes –, in order to ensure the continuity of medical-surgical care at hospital level and an efficient answer to the most diverse clinical situations.
